In his first Solo show Brett Fox brings an unorthodox form of photography; from his
photographing of people and places, to experimentation with movement, materials and
process, it is ultimately about faces, “the roadmap of the soul”. His work creates visions
that lean more towards feeling than storytelling, a “transmission” of the visual, into a
rhythmic experience.
Fox’s work feels deeply personal, and unexpected, lending first a title of more
contemporary artist, than photographer. This show brings one years worth of compelling
work and growth together, exploring the viewer’s perception of time as it relates to an
unchanging subject, and physical space between the work and the viewer.
